SNAP QUICK TIPS
We hope you find these tips helpful when using Snap!
Passwords
Reset a forgotten password
- At login screen, click Forgot Password.
- Enter your Username.
- Enter your Email Address (this must match the one on your Snap record).
- Click Forgot Password again.
- You’ll receive an immediate email with a link to reset your password.
Password advice & rules
- Passwords must not contain your first, last or full name or your Snap user name.
- They must be at least 6 characters long and are case-sensitive.
- Don’t use non-printing characters, such as spaces, tabs or carriage returns.
- Use a sentence that’s easy to remember and eliminate the spaces. Example, Mydogiscute!
- Use the name of a foreign river or town and mix in numbers. Example, Paris2019.
- We recommended that you change your password frequently!
Using display filters
Creating custom filters (for one time use)
- Click the magnifying glass icon on the Home page.
- Set your filter as needed. You can include:
- A specific insured name,
- Policy number,
- And/or revise the existing filter settings
- You can also use the ‘Additional Criteria‘ drop-down to select additional filter options.
- The filter is applied automatically with each change you make.
Saving and naming custom filters to use again and again
- After adding your search criteria, click Save Filter As.
- Enter a short description to name your new filter.
- Click Save.
- The filter is automatically applied to the submission list.
- Your new custom filter name will now appear as a new option when filtering the submission list.
Uploading from your agency system
Using Snap AppReader to upload your ACORD application
- Save the ACORD PDF to your desktop.
- In Snap, click New Submission.
- Check Upload from an ACORD application.
- Click Select File to Upload and locate the ACORD PDF on your desktop.
- Select the file and click Open.
- As an option, you can enter the Needed By Date.
- Click Create Application.
- Once complete, the message will notify you.
- Click Yes to open or No to open later.
- Your ACORD PDF will be attached to the submission record.
- Finish the application by clicking through the Application sub-links.
- Once complete and loss runs attached, click Submit.

To get help online in Snap
- Click the Help question mark icon in the top navigation bar.
- Select Online Help to view topics from the list or to search for a particular item within Help or view a Help tutorial.
Instant help with entry items and errors.
- Hover over the entry.
- The Pop-up help will appear.
